Career Preparation

Professional preparation

Arabic is a critical language, recognized for its global importance and utility in business, government, education, the arts, and other essential fields. By pairing your major studies with Arabic Flagship, you set yourself up for success. Arabic Flagship prepares you for professional-level language proficiency and a career as a global professional in emerging and established fields.

With the Flagship experience under your belt, you will be prepared to continue your studies, find work inside the U.S., or pursue a career abroad in any of the 22+ countries where Arabic is spoken. You will stand out as a go-getter, global professional, and leader in any career.

Flagship Forward Series

In the fall of 2018, the Flagship Forward Series was created to provide you with career preparation and professional development opportunities. This series allows you to meet with recruiters, have virtual lunches with Flagship alumni, and much more.

Professional language proficiency

When you study Arabic through the Flagship, you can accelerate your language learning and be professionally proficient by graduation. Our innovative program goes beyond basic communication, giving you the opportunity to reach Superior level proficiency and learn vocabulary specific to your field. You will also use Arabic in an overseas study environment, completing a Capstone year in Meknes, Morocco, learning and completing internships.
